Volunteers are the strength and success of any organization. Every member of the La Crosse County GOP is a volunteer, all the way up to our Chairman!! If we are to succeed and preserve what our forefathers left us, we need you. Here are some of the opportunities that we have for you to join us!!
Programs: This committee helps with arranging special events. You may be involved in identifying speakers, helping decorate the location, printing name tags, greeting and signing in guests, and selecting the menu.
Membership: This committee's primary focus is to build membership. The committee develops strategies used to attract and retain members. The plan may include creating a mailing, Campworking at special events to sign individuals up, and calling through lists to remind expired members to renew.
Fundraising: The fundraising committee's goal is to raise funds that allow the LaCrosse County GOP to do a variety of things, including hosting special programs, supporting candidates with donations to their campaigns, maintaining our website and email campaign tools, investing in get-out-the-vote technology and a future goal of a permanent headquarters.
Resolutions: The function of the Resolutions Committee is to review all resolutions presented and to prepare resolutions of its own in areas in which it or the Executive Committee believes conference action is needed.
Events: The Events Committee is responsible for coordinating and participating in parades or other events in the county, including gun shows, the County Fair, and other similar events.
Campaign: The campaign committee will help individuals interested in running for office evaluate and prepare their campaign strategy. The committee may include hosting campaign training and identifying potential candidates to seek office in local, state, and federal offices.
Website and Communications: This team of volunteers will help develop the processes for maintaining our website, social media sites, email blasts, and communications. We need a talented group of individuals who have technical skills, as well as a few individuals who are willing to write articles and take pictures at our programs and events.
College Republicans: The purpose of this committee will be to identify and attract conservative college students. The committee will work to get these students to take advantage of the special membership rate we offer for students, help coordinate the students to volunteer, and host special events for college students.
2nd Amendment: this committee aims to keep our membership updated and informed on pending legislation or concerns that may affect our gun rights.
Legislative Committee: Members of this committee will select their focused legislative body, such as the city council, school board, county board, state, and federal legislation, and provide members with what legislation is under consideration and voted on.
