La Crosse County GOP, and 3rd Congressional District GOP chairman Chairman Bill Feehan now has a weekly podcast called "Fact Check" on WIZM radio where he discusses the issues facing us in these troubling times. Current and past podcasts are available directly on the radio station's website. Give a listen to one of our area's most prominent conservatives!!!
In response to Bill Feehan's new podcast, Democrats just had to object. Because, Trump is bad and something about Bill being dangerous. Oh, and Trump is bad. And a Republican calling his discussions "Fact Check" is bad. Because fact checkers like those on Facebook and Twitter are objective, with no political agendas at all. And... Trump bad.
Of course the Democrat thinks that the most basic tenet of journalistic integrity is to remain objective, because that perfectly describes today's mainstream media, right?
Dear Mr. Garcia and La Crosse County Democratic Party,
Recently you sent a letter to WIZM regarding the podcast that Kaitlyn Riley and I produce which is called “Fact Check”. In your letter you insist that WIZM should change the name and cease advertising the podcast. Your letter also makes many wild and unfounded attacks on my character. You accuse me of participating in dangerous political theater, attempting to suppress the votes of Wisconsin citizens and being “directly responsible for the attack on the congressional building by Trump supporting insurrectionists.” Your letter labels our show a “far right political show”, and you say that my Facebook page is “riddled with lies”. These statements are your opinion, an opinion shared by those on the far-left wing of the Democratic Party, but opinion none the less.
All of this left me wondering who is William Garcia? I learned that you are an associate lecturer in English at UW La Crosse. I looked at your Facebook page and found that you “would totally join ANTIFA if it was an organization that one could join”, you favor a “meager 10% cut” to the La Crosse Police Department and that you support a $20 minimum wage. I can see how you would perceive me as far right. Ironically, you accuse me of fomenting insurrection while you openly support ANTIFA which created an autonomous zone in Portland that banned police.
I would like you to know that I have many Democrat friends whom I love and respect. I must say that they do not share any of these beliefs and they would never join a terrorist organization like ANTIFA.
More importantly, your letter attempts to deprive me of the most basic and important right that we as Americans cherish. A right that is enshrined in the 1st Amendment to the US Constitution. A right that is the foundation of all our freedoms. The right to free speech. How is it that you think you can dictate what we choose to call our podcast? How is it that you think you can tell a private company what it can or cannot promote? After one podcast you and the La Crosse Democratic Party sought to deprive me of my constitutional right to free speech and you did it through character assassination and hyperbolic claims.
Interestingly, your letter did not challenge the claims in our first podcast which is titled “Was there voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election?” I ask you now is the Wisconsin Elections Commission controlled by the Democrat majority by virtue of having a Democrat Chairman? Did they refuse ballot access to the Green Party candidate for President? Did WEC staff instruct clerks that people applying for absentee ballots online need not provide an ID? Did WEC staff instruct clerks to “cure” absentee ballot envelopes using red ink? Did WEC refuse to remove over 200,000 voter registrations? Did these actions conform with Wisconsin state law? As a matter of demonstrable fact all of these did occur.
Reasonable people may disagree if these actions changed the outcome of the November elections. There will likely be investigations into the election by our state legislature. It is quite likely there will be legislation proposed to reform our election laws. Ballot harvesting is very problematic. Allowing door to door collection of ballots in cities puts rural voters at a disadvantage. Yet ballot harvesting is legal in Wisconsin.
I hope we can all agree that our republic depends on the voters’ belief in the integrity of our elections. A great many voters in Wisconsin believe this election was not legitimate and that is a very real problem. Almost half the people in Wisconsin voted for Donald Trump and they deserve to know what happened in this election and if it changed the outcome on November 3rd.
Conservative voices are being silenced by Big Tech monopolies. The recent actions of Google, Apple, and Amazon to destroy Parler are an example. Without warning or notice two weeks before the November election Facebook shutdown the La Crosse County Republican Party and 3rd District Republican Party Facebook pages. Facebook claimed it was for sharing “false news”. I invite fair minded people to review the ads and make their own judgements. Now you and your party seek to cancel my podcast. These actions should concern everyone who loves freedom and the right to free speech.
